Monica is an experienced Physiotherapist who graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2009. She then completed her Master of Physiotherapy at the University of British Columbia. She has post-graduate training in soft tissue release. Monica completed the Kinetacore dry needling course in Atlanta, and includes IMS (Intra-muscular Stimulation) as part of her treatment plan with clients. With a strong focus on continuing to advance her training and expertise, Monica travelled to Portugal to take intensive manual therapy courses. She is now a certified orthopedic manual therapist (COMT). Furthermore, Monica has completed additional certifications and training for treatment of vestibular disorders and concussion management. Monica is also trained in the BradCliff Breathing Method. She is currently pursuing advanced training in shoulder rehabilitation.

Monica has a passion for exercise and rehabilitation and works with clients of all ages and athletic backgrounds. Through her clinical experience, she developed a keen interest in post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries and hand therapy. Monica also has experience working with populations recovering from spinal cord injuries at GF Strong Rehabilitation Center, post-mastectomy rehabilitation and a variety of neurological conditions. Her volunteer experience includes working with the Special Olympics of BC and at the Vancouver Olympics of 2010.

Monica was an avid athlete growing up participating in various sports including basketball, soccer, dodgeball and curling. Her passion however was volleyball, playing at the elite level for the Fraser Valley Volleyball Club, the Simon Fraser University club team and coaching the Holy Cross Junior girls Volleyball team. She has completed level 10 at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Piano, generating her interest in hand therapy. Monica is also bilingual and is fluent in Polish.

Monica uses a combination of evidence-based treatment approaches such as education, hands-on manual therapy, and exercise prescription to promote function and mobility. She focuses on detailed assessments and individualized treatment programs to help each client achieve their personal physiotherapy goals. Outside of the clinic, you can find Monica enjoying life with her beautiful daughter and son, and leading an active lifestyle through snowboarding, hiking, beach volleyball and soccer.
